G.O.G.O. Barstow was built around a simple belief: where someone starts should not determine where they end up.

Our goal is to help break down the barriers that can keep individuals and families trapped in homelessness and generational poverty. Through individualized case management, long-term support, resource navigation, workforce development, life skills, and community outreach, we help people move toward greater stability and self-sufficiency.

Our work focuses especially on youth, young adults, justice-involved individuals, underserved communities, and those facing circumstances that can make moving forward feel out of reach.

We aren't here just to provide temporary help. We're here to create opportunities for lasting growth.

G.O.G.O. began with a desire to do more than simply recognize the challenges happening within the community. Elizabeth Givens wanted to create a place where people could find support, resources, guidance, and someone willing to walk alongside them as they worked toward something better.

What started as a vision to help people overcome barriers grew into Growing Outreach, Growing Opportunities — G.O.G.O.

For Elizabeth, the mission has always been bigger than providing a single service. It's about meeting people where they are, understanding what they need, and helping them take meaningful steps toward where they want to be.

That vision continues to shape G.O.G.O. today.

4 Years of G.O.G.O. Barstow

We started with a purpose. We're still growing.

Since 2022, G.O.G.O. Barstow has continued building its presence in the community with one goal in mind: creating opportunities for people who need them most.

What began as a vision has grown into programs, workshops, outreach, partnerships, resources, and ongoing support for individuals throughout our community.

But four years is only the beginning.

As G.O.G.O. continues to grow, so does our vision. We want to expand the opportunities available to youth and adults, strengthen our community partnerships, connect more people with education and employment opportunities, and continue developing programs that lead to long-term stability.

And now, through GOGO Collective, we're finding new ways for our community to be part of that growth.
